When do models get paid, and what if the brand disappears?

Putting a dated payment deadline in the contract is the only real protection. “Settled after the shoot” is not a date. And decide in advance whether the fee is still owed if the shoot is cancelled.

Put these in writing first

A payment deadline as a date. “Within 30 days of the shoot” — something countable.

A cancellation clause. What happens to the fee if it is cancelled the day before. The model held that day open, so it is reasonable for the fee to stand.

Overtime. What happens past eight hours.

If they stop answering

You can only argue from a record. If everything happened in DMs, proving what was agreed becomes the first fight, before the money is even discussed.

That is why keeping contact and agreement inside the platform ends up protecting you.

How PODIANE handles it
